Resin From Beginner to Master – Record Power Roadshow at Yandles
Join Record Power at Yandles for the Resin from Beginner to Master Event, and Record Power Roadshow – a full day dedicated to exploring the world of resin woodworking, from the initial pour through to the finished project. Whether you're new to resin or looking to refine your techniques, expert demonstrators will showcase the complete process using Record Power machinery and accessories.
Record Power Roadshow – Friday & Saturday
We’ll be at Yandles on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September with exclusive on-the-day offers across a wide range of Record Power machinery and accessories.
Our technical expert, Pete Webb, will be available throughout both days to offer expert advice, answer your questions and help you choose the right products for your workshop. If you've been considering upgrading machine, this is the perfect opportunity to speak directly with the manufacturer and take advantage of exclusive event offers.
What to Expect on Saturday 5th September
Head to Yandles from 10am – 4pm for a full day of demonstrations focused on working with resin and timber. Throughout the day, every stage of the process will be covered, including:
- Achieving the perfect resin pour
- Cutting and preparing resin/timber blanks
- Planing and finishing hybrid materials
- Turning stunning resin and timber projects on the lathe
Demonstrations are completely FREE and are designed to help woodworkers of all experience levels get the most from their Record Power equipment.
Resin Pouring Demonstration
Julien from the Yandles Toolshop team, an experienced resin craftsman, will demonstrate how to mix, pour and manipulate resin with confidence. Drawing on years of experience creating bespoke resin and timber tables, he will share practical advice and techniques to help you achieve consistently excellent results.
Machinery Demonstrations with Pete Webb
Our Technical Advisor Pete Webb will be demonstrating how to get the best performance from our bandsaws and planers when preparing timber and resin blanks. Working with hybrid materials presents unique challenges due to the differing densities of resin and timber, and Pete will share his proven techniques for achieving clean, accurate results.
Woodturning Demonstrations
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live woodturning demonstrations featuring hybrid timber and resin blanks. A range of inspiring projects will be created using Record Power lathes, showcasing the turning tools, chucks, mandrels and accessories that deliver the best results for each application.
Saturday Taster Sessions – £20 per Session
Alongside the free demonstrations, Yandles will be running a series of hands-on taster sessions throughout the day, giving visitors the opportunity to try woodturning projects for themselves.
Sessions include:
- Bowl Turning – 9.00am - 10.00am & 10.15am - 11.15am
- Light Pulls – 11.30am - 12.30pm
- Spinning Tops – 1.15pm - 2.15pm
- NEW – Hybrid Timber & Resin Pen Turning – 2.30pm - 3.30pm & 3.45pm - 4.45pm
