Commissioned by a client as a gift for his young grand-daughter, this box is intended as a life-time gift - that she will enjoy adding to its contents and remembering happy times throughout her life. It's in maple and sapele with a purple suede trim. The tray and the lower part of the box are lined with 3mm sapele which also serves to support the lift-out tray.
